Best Credit Cards for Grocery Shopping in Singapore (2026 Edition)
Where you shop for groceries — and how you pay at the till — decides which credit card actually rewards you. A card that bonuses NTUC FairPrice won’t fire at Cold Storage, and a card built for online checkout earns nothing on a chip-and-pin tap. This guide groups cards by store so you can pick the one that matches your routine, with a table per section showing each card’s earn rate, cap, sweet spot (the spend that fills the bonus cap), minimum spend, and which payment method earns the bonus.
Quick Glossary
- Supermarket / Groceries category — When a card lists “groceries” or “supermarkets” as a bonus category, the bonus applies at all the major chains (NTUC FairPrice, Cold Storage, Giant, Sheng Siong, and similar stores).
- Sweet spot — The monthly spend that fills the card’s bonus cap. Going above this on the same card and category drops you to the base rate, so it’s the optimal stopping point.
- mpd — Miles per dollar. 4 mpd means 4 airline miles for every S$1 spent in the bonus category.
- Mobile contactless (MCL) — Tap-to-pay using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Wallet on your phone. Some cards earn ONLY via MCL (UOB EVOL); others EXCLUDE it (Citi Rewards, Citi SMRT, DBS Woman’s World).
- App / online — Card-on-file checkout via a grocery store’s website or app (FairPrice On!, Cold Storage Online, RedMart, Giant Online).
- Min spend — Monthly minimum total spend on the card to unlock the bonus category.
Best Credit Cards for Grocery Shopping at General Grocery Stores
If you spread your grocery spend across multiple chains — FairPrice this week, Cold Storage next — pick a card whose bonus applies at every major supermarket in Singapore. The six cards below give you the same earn rate at NTUC FairPrice, Cold Storage, Giant, or Sheng Siong.

My Take
If you spend over S$1,600/month total on this card, Maybank F&F Tier 2 gives the highest grocery cashback at 8%. Below that threshold, Citi Cash Back is the simplest pick at a flat 6% with a bigger shared cap (S$80 vs Maybank’s S$30 per category). CIMB Visa Signature may offer a high headline cashback, but more complicated (need to hit other categories) to maximise cashback. For miles, DBS Woman’s World Mastercard and Citi Rewards both earn 4 mpd on online grocery orders (FairPrice app, Cold Storage Online, RedMart, Giant Online) up to their respective S$1,000/month online-spend caps.
For UOB One, the new Grocery category covers all major supermarkets — purchases earn the tier bonus on top of the 3.33% base. Able to stack with UOB One Account interest boost on your savings account.
Best Credit Cards for Grocery Shopping at DFI Group (Giant, Cold Storage)
Cold Storage, Giant, Guardian, 7-Eleven, and Marketplace by Cold Storage all sit under DFI Group. DBS yuu was built for this network and remains the highest-yielding card by a wide margin. You can use the cards above, but this card is the most optimised for Giant and Cold Storage.
| Card | Earn Rate | Cap | Min Spend | Sweet Spot | Payment Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
DBS yuu CardApply | Up to 18% cashback or 10 miles per dollar at Cold Storage & Giant | S$144/month bonus cap | S$800 across ≥4 different participating merchants | S$800 across 4+ merchants = fills S$144 cap | Payment via yuu app for max rewards. |

My Take
DBS yuu is the best card at DFI Group — at the 18% tier (S$800 across 4+ merchants) you earn around S$144/month in cashback, which beats every other supermarket card. If you don’t hit the 4-merchant threshold, the base 5% on Cold Storage and Giant is still solid for a card with no minimum spend.
Best Credit Cards for Grocery Shopping at Sheng Siong
Sheng Siong sits outside DFI Group and outside the NTUC FairPrice ecosystem. POSB Everyday is the standout — the only card on this list with 5% at Sheng Siong and no minimum spend. The other cards work because Sheng Siong falls under their general “groceries” bonus category.
| Card | Earn Rate | Cap | Min Spend | Sweet Spot | Payment Method |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
POSB Everyday Card
Apply |
5% at Sheng Siong (no minimum spend) | Daily$30/month | None | S$600 of Sheng Siong spend | In-store at Sheng Siong |
My Take
For Sheng Siong specifically, POSB Everyday at 5% with no minimum spend is the best pick for most readers. If you spend over S$1,600/month total on Maybank F&F across 5 chosen categories, Tier 2 8% beats POSB Everyday — but the moment your spend dips below S$1,600, POSB Everyday’s no-minimum structure wins on simplicity.
For households with grocery spend between S$312.50 and S$750/month: Maybank Family & Friends Tier 1 (6%, fills the S$20 per-category cap at S$333). Between S$750 and S$1,333/month: Citi Cash Back (6% with shared S$80 cap fills at S$1,333). Above S$1,333: Maybank Family & Friends Tier 2 if you can hit S$1,600 total spend. For miles, refer to list for general grocery stores.
Best Credit Cards for Grocery Shopping at NTUC FairPrice
NTUC FairPrice is Singapore’s largest grocery chain. The standout for NTUC Union members is the Trust Link Credit Card (NTUC Link partnership) at 15.5% rebate when paired with the S$350 outside-FairPrice spend condition. For everyone else, the general supermarket cards work at FairPrice the same way they work elsewhere.

My Take
Trust Link Credit Card is the top pick for NTUC Union members: 15.5% rebate when you spend S$350 outside FairPrice Group. Even factoring in the S$350 extra spend, the effective rebate is around 9.11% — the highest of any card for FairPrice shoppers. Non-Union members face a S$450 outside-FairPrice condition and a lower effective rate, but Trust Link is still the top pick if you shop at NTUC regularly.
Without Trust Link: Maybank F&F Tier 2 (8%) if you can sustain S$1,600+/month spend on the card; CIMB Visa Signature if your spend is spread across 4–5 of its bonus categories; Citi Cash Back at a flat 6% for simpler optimisation. For miles, refer to list for general grocery stores.
Conclusion
The right grocery credit card depends on the chain you shop at, the payment method available, and whether you can sustain the minimum monthly spend.
For shoppers spending S$800+/month: Maybank F&F Tier 2 (S$1,600+) for general grocery, DBS yuu for DFI Group, POSB Everyday for Sheng Siong, and Trust Link (Union members) for NTUC FairPrice. For lower-spend households, POSB Everyday at Sheng Siong is the only no-minimum-spend option with a meaningful cashback rate or a no minimum spend required miles card will work.
