DBS Woman’s World Card Review | What You Need To Know

DBS Woman's World Card Overview:

Despite the term “Woman’s World Mastercard”, this card is gender-neutral! It is an amazing air miles and rewards credit card for both men and women. Earned DBS Points can be exchanged for cash back, AirPods at the DBS Rewards Apple Store, miles, and other products. I especially love it for the 4 miles per dollar earn rate per calendar month with a higher than usual spending cap of S$1,000.

Don’t miss my TikTok video about DBS World Woman Mastercard, where I dive into its unique benefits, rewards for female (and male!) travelers, and tips to make the most of this card!

Eligibility & Fees:

  • Minimum Age: 21 years old
  • Minimum Annual Income: S$80,000 (locals/PRs) – The income requirement is arbitrary; I was approved for the card even though I didn’t meet that income threshold
  • Annual Fee: S$196.20, first year waived – subsequently, you can just ask the bank for a waiver

Key Benefits:

  • Earn 4 miles per dollar (10X DBS points per S$5) spent online, regardless of local or foreign currency. Capped at S$1,000 spending per calendar month, beyond S$1,000 spending, you will only earn 0.4 miles per dollar.
  • Earn 1.2 miles per dollar (3X DBS Points per S$5) spent abroad in-store
  • Earn 0.4 miles per dollar (1X DBS points per S$5) spent on other purchases.
  • No minimum monthly spending required
  • Since points are earned for every S$5 spent, avoid using this card on transactions below S$5
  • Free e-Commerce Protection while making transactions online
  • Miles expire yearly – so you need to have a certain level of spending for it to be worthwhile to pay the yearly transfer fee. But the good thing is, the points can be pooled with other DBS cards such as DBS Altitude

Best Used Mainly For Online or In-App Spend (e.g Kris+) Locally:
  • This card is a specialised spending card, so you do need to pair it with other miles card for a more complete miles accumulation strategy. This is a great miles card to have alongside the Citi Rewards Card as this provides good miles earn rate for online travel-related transactions that are excluded by Citi Rewards Card.
Good for Online or In-App Spend (e.g Kris+) Overseas but higher cost:
  • Even though you do earn 4 miles per dollar for online or in-app spend for foreign currency transaction, there is a 3.25% fee that you will incur from the transaction. This makes your cost per mile around 0.81 cents per mile, which would give you superb value if you used the miles for business class or above ticket redemption.
Free Insurance:
  • With insurance coverage of up to S$1,000,000 when you charge your travels on your card, this could be helpful to cover you for some small impromptu trips. Do read the policy wording to ensure that you are well-covered.
Double Your Monthly Spending Cap Hack:
  • Unlike some banks cards, the bonus cap is enforced by transaction date, not posting date. For example, making an online transaction on 31 May at 11.59 p.m Singapore time will still be counted under May’s bonus cap, even though the posting will almost certainly happen in June. This matters when you need to buy, say S$3K worth of airtickets. You could split the purchase into two transactions – S$1.5K on 31 May and S$1.5K on 1 June, to earn the full 4 miles per dollar on your S$3K spending.
  • However, do note that from 1 August 2025, DBS has reduced the 4 mpd bonus cap from S$1,500 to S$1,000 per calendar month. This means that the above strategy still works, but you’ll now need to split your spending into smaller chunks — for example, S$1,000 on the last day of one month and another S$1,000 on the first day of the next — in order to maximise the bonus miles under the new cap.

Nerfs:
  • Effective 1 August 2025, the spending cap will be down from S$1,500 to S$1,000
Here is the list of their current transfer partners:
Transfer Partners
Conversion Ratio
Krisflyer
5,000 : 10,000
Asia Miles
5,000 : 10,000
Qantas Frequent Flyer
5,000 : 10,000
AirAsia
500 : 1,500
Advantages:
  • Able to use it on almost all online spending
  • Higher spending cap of S$1,000
  • You can pool points together with other DBS cards like DBS Altitude to save on transfer fee

Disadvantages:
  • Points expire yearly
  • Spending cap will be much lower, from S$1,500 to S$1,000 wef 1 August 2025
  • Points are earned for every S$5 spent instead of S$1 spent
  • Incur 3.25% fcy fee when you pay in foreign currency
  • How to redeem DBS Points to a frequent flyer program: Check out my Tiktok video for a step-by-step guide.
  • When are the DBS Points posted on your account:
Online (Local) Spend: 1 DBS point after the transaction posts, the 9 DBS points by the end of the next calendar month after transaction
Online (FCY) Spend: 3 DBS points after the transaction posts, 7 DBS by the end of the next calendar month after transaction
In-Store (Local) Spend: 1 DBS point once the transaction is posted
In-Store (FCY) Spend: 3 DBS points once the transaction is posted
  • How long are the DBS points valid for: The DBS Points earned on DBS Woman’s World Card expires every year, however you can pool across cards that earn DBS Points like DBS Altitude – This means you can transfer the miles together from both cards at one shot with a single transfer fee. However, if you are going to cancel your card, you must transfer them out before you cancel the card as the points are tagged to each card individually.
  • Can it be used with Amaze: No. Amaze has been excluded by this card. Watch TikTok video here.
Final Thoughts:
  • I love this card for online spending. But the miles expire yearly. It’s my second choice of cards. I would get the DBS Altitude or DBS Vantage too, so that i can use on that card if needed and pool points for transfer.
  • If you perform a lot of online spending, then you could definitely consider this card to get given that it earns 4 miles per dollar capped at S$1,000.

💳 Credit cards change their T&Cs every so often and it is difficult to stay updated. That’s why I created a Telegram Broadcast where you can receive timely bite-sized updates to get the most out of your spending.

💡 We believe in always paying our credit card bills on time and in full. It is only by doing that, can we fully maximise our credit card benefits.
