Starting from 28 January 2025, HeyMax is bringing you an exciting way to earn rewards while you commute. With any Visa Card, you can now earn 3 Max Miles for every dollar spent on bus, MRT, and bike-sharing rides. All you need to do is register for a heymax account and link your Visa card to the account, and you’re all set to make every ride more rewarding.
In case you are new to heymax, heymax is like a Shopback but miles version + a platform that allows you to check the best cards to use for different merchants in Singapore to a certain level of accuracy. Max Miles is the miles currency of HeyMax. If you were to ask me, in a case where the same offer is offered on the cashback platforms like Azgo or Shopback, I would choose cashback as it takes longer to accumulate Max Miles and the cash value on Azgo or Shopback is more compelling. With that being said, some of the heymax promotions are exclusive (like this one) and you will not find these promotions on Azgo or Shopback. That’s where I see the value of having a heymax account, which you can sign up here.
With your heymax account, your miles don’t expire and you can use the miles to convert to other airline partners. However, Singapore Airlines and Infinity Mileagelands is not in the list of their airline partners. There are still other airline partners that i have yet to explore.
With this promotion, you are able to receive FREE non-expiring miles if you make any of the below transactions:
- Bus/MRT rides via SimplyGo
- Anywheel bike-sharing
- HelloRide bike-sharing
Earn 3 Max Miles On Bus/MRT and Bike Sharing of up to S$10 per day
You’ll earn 3 Max Miles per dollar on eligible transactions made with your linked Visa card (can be either debit or credit card), capped at S$10 (or 30 Max Miles) per day. While there’s no limit to the total Max Miles you can earn throughout the campaign, you’ll only accumulate Max Miles on the first S$10 of eligible spending each day. This daily cap resets at 12am.
For example: If you spend S$8 on a bus or MRT transaction, you’ll earn 24 Max Miles. However, if you spend S$12 in a day, you’ll only earn Max Miles on the first S$10, which is capped at 30 Max Miles.

Frequently Asked Questions:
- Why are the miles from my rides showing up as pending in my transaction history?
- Your miles will get tracked as pending upon a card transaction authorisation. The miles will be confirmed once the card transaction has settled or posted. If your card transaction gets refunded, the miles will also be rejected.
- How long does it take for my BUS/MRT transaction to track?
- BUS/MRT transactions usually get tracked the morning of the day after your ride.
- I took a BUS/MRT ride with my UOB card but it hasn’t tracked after a day. Why?
- Because UOB is the payment acquirer for BUS/MRT payments, the transaction does not pass through Visa’s network immediately and HeyMax does not get to know of your payment immediately. However, your payment will still get tracked up to a month later and the corresponding miles will be issued to your account.
