Nerf:

Telco Bills and Utility Bills

  • No longer earning 3% cash rebates
  • POSB Everyday Card Dining and Online Shopping Spend Trackers on Paylah! will be removed

Advantages:
  • No minimum spend on certain categories – I used to use this card just for petrol at SPC and Sheng Siong!
  • No expiry for earned Daily$

Disadvantages:
  • Require a relatively high minimum of S$800 per calendar month to qualify for online shopping, and food delivery services.
  • Daily$ cannot be combined with DBS points, even though it’s the same bank
  • Telco and Utilities Bill will no longer earn 3% Cash Rebates
  • Where can I check my Daily$: For every $1 cash rebate earned, you will earn 1 Daily$. You can check it out via digibank Online and the DBS PayLah! app. Here’s the step-by-step process
  • Where do I redeem my Daily$: You can redeem you Daily$ using various options:
    • Instants Daily$ redemption:
      • Use your Daily$ to offset your purchase instantly in-stores at participating merchants: Sheng Siong, SPC, Watsons, Pet Lovers Centre
    • DBS PayLah!
      • Offset any of your purchases with Daily$ anytime, anywhere. Find out more here
    • Digibank Online
      • Offset your credit card bills or redeem Krisflyer miles. Find out more here
    • Participating Merchants’ Website or Mobile App
      • Use Daily$ to offset your online purchases instantly at participating merchants’ website or mobile app:
        • DBS Apple Rewards Store
        • Shopee
        • Zalora
        • AXS
Final Thoughts:

The POSB Everyday Card may be one of the best cashback credit card available for those who spend on the merchants in the “no minimum spend required” categories, specifically on Sheng Siong (max S$600 spending cap) and SPC (no spending cap). The categories that require a high minimum spend of S$800 is not necessarily a compelling proposition as I could see other cards that could offer a better deal. If my main mode of transport is public transport, I would be more inclined to get Standard Chartered SMART card. If I drive and pump petrol at SPC, I would be more inclined to get this card.
