From now till 31 July 2025, Amaze is offering an upsized earn rate of 6 InstaPoints per dollar (equivalent to 2 miles per dollar) on wallet-linked transactions in selected categories: hotel, dining, and travel.
in case you are new to this, wallet-linked transactions refer to payments made using your Amaze Card linked to the Amaze Wallet, rather than to an external credit or debit card.
You can link your Amaze Card to your Amaze Wallet via the app:
- Top up your wallet using FAST bank transfer.
- Load SGD or exchange foreign currencies in advance.
- Pay directly from your wallet balance with no foreign currency (FCY) spread.
Background:
Prior to March 2025, wallet-linked transactions earned just 0.5 InstaPoints per dollar, and only on overseas spend, capped at 500 points/month.
On 10 March 2025, Amaze removed the cap and expanded the earn rate to both local and overseas wallet-linked transactions. However, the earn rate stayed at 0.5 InstaPoints per dollar—until now.
This latest promotion boosts the earn rate to 6 InstaPoints per dollar, but only for eligible hotel, dining, and travel transactions.
Card-linked payments (i.e., using Amaze as a passthrough to cards like Citi Rewards) are not eligible, and continue to suffer a ~2% FX spread.

Best Use Cases
While the promotion applies to both SGD and FCY spends, the biggest value lies in foreign currency transactions:
- No FX spread
- Uncapped earn rate of 2 miles per dollar in specific categories, similar to what the Chocolate Visa Debit Card is offering before the nerf
For local (SGD) spend, you’re likely better off using specialised cards like:
- DBS Woman’s World Mastercard (4 mpd, capped) – online SGD spend
- UOB Lady’s Card (4 mpd, capped) – one category like dining, travel, transport etc
Things to Note:
- Minimum S$10 spend per transaction: InstaPoints are only awarded for transactions of S$10 and above. This makes the Amaze Wallet more suited for larger purchases—think hotel stays (pay at hotel), flight tickets in foreign currency, or group dining bills—rather than small-ticket items like S$1 buns at 7-Eleven or S$5 Didi rides.
- Multi-currency wallet: The Amaze Wallet supports multi-currency balances. You can pre-purchase and hold foreign currencies when rates are favourable, providing greater control over FX conversions compared to real-time rate cards.
- KrisFlyer redemption only: InstaPoints can only be converted to KrisFlyer miles at a 2:1 ratio (1,000 points = 500 miles). Be mindful of potential orphan points—for instance, if you accumulate 1,050 points, the excess 50 points cannot be redeemed and will remain stranded.
