If you are looking for a credit card that rewards you for your online spending and travel, you might want to check out the Standard Chartered Journey Card. This card lets you earn up to 3 miles per dollar on selected online categories, such as transportation, grocery and food delivery. You can also earn 2 miles per dollar on overseas spending, and 1.2 miles per dollar on other local spending. Unlike some other cards, your miles do not expire, so you can accumulate them for your dream vacation. What’s more, you can 2 free visits to Priority Pass airport lounges annually. The Standard Chartered Journey Card also comes with complimentary travel insurance coverage of up to S$500,000, and various other benefits and discounts that you can explore on their website.

- With the 3 miles per dollar bonus rate on everyday spending such as transportation, food delivery, groceries, and food stores— this card can act as both travel and everyday spend card. Transactions must be done online and must spend locally. This has a spending cap of S$1,000 per statement month.

If you bring a guest on your lounge visit, it counts as 2 visits, using up both of your complimentary visits. Step 2: An automated reply acknowledging the receipt of your SMS will be sent to you if successful
Step 3: A one-time unique code will be sent to your registered mobile number with the Bank via SMS within 14 working days to activate your Priority Pass membership.
Step 4: Click here to key in your one-time unique code in the Priority Pass activation link and complete the application to activate your Priority Pass.
Step 5: Download the Priority Pass mobile app from your App Store and log in with your User ID.
Step 6: Your digital Priority Pass is ready to use. Your physical membership card will be dispatched within 5 business days of your application being successfully accepted through normal mail.
Note that if you have other credit cards that give you lounge access too, you still need one Priority Pass account per card.

- any insurance premiums charged to your Journey Card;
- recurring payments (being automatic payments where the Journey Cardholder or supplementary Journey Card cardholder has given a one-time authorisation or instruction for the merchant to charge the payment directly to his/her Journey Card at a fixed interval, such as transactions made pursuant to Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited’s 0% Interest Instalment Plan) or payments made to all billing organisations using Standard Chartered Online Banking or mobile app;
- any fees or charges (including but not limited to annual card fees, service fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, finance charges, and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges);
- amounts which have been rolled over from any preceding month’s statement;
- tax refunds credited into your Journey Card;
- charges incurred but not submitted or posted to your Journey Card account during the Journey Card Promotion Period;
- any fraudulent retail transaction;

Advantages:
- 3 miles per dollar on common categories like online groceries, food delivery and transport

- Points can be pooled together with other SC 360 Reward Points Earning Cards (for all other frequent flyer program) (or SC Visa infinite Cards (for Krisflyer)), allowing you to save on transfer fee when converting your points to your favourite frequent flyer program

- Higher than usual FCY fee of 3.5%
- 3 Miles Per Dollar has a spending cap of S$1,000 per statement month
Frequently Asked Questions:
- When are 360 Rewards Points credited: The base 3x/5x 360° Rewards Points for local/overseas spend are credited when your transaction posts, which generally takes 1-3 working days. The bonus 4.5x 360° Rewards Points for local grocery, food delivery, and transport will be credited at the end of the statement period.
- How long are 360 Rewards points valid for: There is no expiry
- Is there an expiry date on 360 Rewards with other cards: SCB Journey Card points don’t expire, unlike the SCB Smart Card, SCB Rewards+, and other points-earning cards, which have expiry dates.
Final Thoughts:
This card is perfect for those who spend a lot consistently on the bonus categories. As the points are non-expiring, you can take your time to earn the miles as you go.
