If you fly a few times a year, you’ve probably seen cards advertise complimentary lounge access and wondered if there are hidden fees or catch. Paying your own way into a lounge costs about US$35 a visit on Priority Pass, which you have no reason to do, especially when there are so many entry level cards with waivable annual fee and at least 2 airport lounge passes. In this guide, I’ll walk you through the list of cards that can give you at least 2 airport lounge passes every year.
How the Free Visits Work
Cards bundle lounge access through two programmes — Priority Pass and DragonPass — and the visits reset on a schedule that depends on the card: calendar year (resets every January) or card-membership year (resets on your card anniversary). Unused visits are gone at reset.

My Take
If you fly once a year, most of the cards with waivable annual fee are enough. However, if you want to bring a guest or more than 1 guest, you have to use a card that allows that. Some cards like UOB Prvi does not allow you to bring guests. So pick your card wisely. Cards like DBS Vantage‘s 10 visits are worth it as you can use multiple passes in one session.
