To take advantage of yuu Points, redemptions, and exclusive deals, you’ll need to pair your DBS yuu Card with the standalone yuu App

From 1 October 2025, the DBS yuu Card is getting a major refresh. Some changes are good news — like a higher bonus cap and SimplyGo finally counting as a yuu merchant. But there are also new hoops to jump through, such as a steeper monthly spend requirement and the need to shop at four different merchants to unlock the full 18% rebate or 10 miles per dollar. Here’s everything you need to know.

28,800 pts (S$144 or 8,000 miles) – increased cap
Merchant Requirement

Must spend at 4 different yuu merchants

Here’s the Breakdown:

Minimum Spend & Bonus Cap

  • To earn the up to 18% cash rebate or 10 miles per dollar, you’ll now need to spend S$800 per calendar month (previously S$600) on yuu merchants.
  • The bonus reward will also be capped at 28,800 yuu points, which is equivalent to S$144 or 8,000 miles per calendar month.
  • Note: Visa and AMEX versions still have separate bonus caps and spend requirements. This means that you can hold both versions of the card and double your monthly spend cap to S$1,600 to earn a maximum of 28,800 yuu Points or S$144.40 rebate or 8,000 miles PER CARD per calendar month.

SimplyGo and CHAGEE Included in Participating Merchants

  • Good news for commuters — SimplyGo is finally included as a bonus merchant. That means your MRT and bus rides will not only earn 10 miles per dollar, it will also help you hit the S$800 minimum spend as well as the 4-merchant requirement. Of cos, you should not be spending more than S$128 on Public Transport with this card, because if so, you should just get the adult concession pass for unlimited bus and mrt rides.
  • You can also earn 10 miles per dollar on CHAGEE transactions, provided that the orders are placed via the CHAGEE app and must be purchased in Singapore only.

Must spend at 4 different yuu merchants

  • Here’s the new hoop to jump through: to unlock the extra 13% rebate (on top of the base 5%), you must spend at 4 different yuu merchants each month
  • According to DBS, Each calendar month, you will need to transact at 4 different Participating Merchants.

Each Participating Merchant is defined in the table below:
Participating Merchants
(each is considered a participating merchant)
7-Eleven
7-Eleven
Charge+
Charge+ Singapore
Cold Storage
– Cold Storage
– CS Fresh
– Jasons Deli
foodpanda
– foodpanda food delivery
– panda mart
– panda shops
Giant
– Giant
– Giant Hypermart
– Giant Express
Guardian
Guardian
Gojek
Gojek Singapore
Singtel
– Singtel Shop
– Singtel Exclusive Retailers
SimplyGo
Bus and train rides via SimplyGo
CHAGEE
Orders placed via CHAGEE App

This is generally good because DFI retail group is not considered 1 Participant merchant. 7-11, Giant and Cold Storage are considered 3 separate Merchants even though they are under the same group. You can make small token spend like a panda pick up order, a gojek ride or pay bills via singtel kiosks and DFI vouchers to hit this easily.

Update: BreadTalk Group (BreadTalk, Toast Box, Thye Moh Chan) will be removed from the DBS yuu earning list from 01 Nov 2025. Cardholders can still earn 18% cash rebates until 31 Oct, and each brand counts toward the 4-merchant minimum in the October update. Stay tuned for further developments of this update.

AMEX vs. Visa at Mandai Wildlife Group

  • The AMEX card will no longer earn the 18% rebate on Mandai Wildlife Group spends — it drops to just 0.5%. Meanwhile, the Visa version still qualifies for the full 18% rebate.

Reduced cashback for non-yuu merchants

  • The earn rate for non-yuu merchants will decrease from 0.5% to 0.25%

Frequently Asked Question:

  • What happens if I do not hit the minimum S$800 spend or the 4 different merchant criteria?

    • If you did not meet the Qualifying Spend Criteria for Bonus Rewards (with min. spend), you will only earn 5% cash rebates on yuu Merchant Spend and SimplyGo, capped at S$144 per calendar month.

Earn a high 18% cashback on qualified purchases with the DBS Yuu Card! Great card for Cold Storage, Charge+,...
Conclusion

The DBS yuu Card updates from 1 October 2025 comes with good and bad changes. On the upside, those who commute benefit from SimplyGo inclusion, and the higher bonus cap allows you to maximize the rebates. On the flip side, the higher minimum spend and the new 4-merchant rule make unlocking the full 18% rebate a little bit trickier.

If your spending pattern already spreads across multiple yuu merchants (including SimplyGo) and reaches S$800 per month, the card remains a strong rebate option.

My thoughts: If you were going to apply for this card, you should choose the fee waiver option as the cost per mile is 196.20/10,000 miles = 1.96 cents per mile, which is quite expensive.
