HeyMax has announced a trio of good news effective 20 May 2025! These include:
- A limited-time 2 Max Miles per dollar promotion at yuu merchants,
- A new option to transfer Max Miles to yuu Points, and
- A one-day 20% Milesback event for redemptions.
Here’s a breakdown of each update, and whether they’re worth your attention.
1. [20–26 May] Earn 2 Max Miles per dollar at yuu merchants
From 20 to 26 May 2025, HeyMax users can earn 2 Max Miles per S$1 spent at selected yuu merchants, provided they:
- Join the campaign in the HeyMax app (mandatory) before spending, and
- Use a Visa card linked to their HeyMax account.
These Max Miles are earned on top of your regular credit card rewards, making this a chance to double-dip.
Participating yuu merchants include:
- Gojek
- Toast Box
- BreadTalk
- Foodpanda
- Cold Storage / CS Fresh
- Giant
- 7-Eleven
- Guardian
⚠️ Gift card purchases and transactions via third-party payment platforms (e.g. ShopBack Pay) are excluded.
Recommended miles cards to pair
Your best bet for stacking rewards is the DBS yuu Visa Card, which earns up to 10 mpd at yuu merchants (S$600 monthly cap applies). With the 2 Max Miles stacked on top, this brings your effective earn rate to 12 mpd — one of the highest in the market right now.

DBS Yuu Card
Earn up to 17.5% cash rebate or 10 miles per dollar at Yuu merchants
Other viable cards with slightly lower earn rate:
Some cards may have usage restrictions (e.g. contactless-only, online spend only). Be sure to review each card’s terms and summary before use.
- HSBC Revolution
- Choc Visa Debit Card
- UOB Preferred Platinum Visa
- UOB Visa Signature
Recommended Cashback cards to pair:
Some cards may have usage restrictions (e.g. contactless-only, online spend only). Be sure to review each card’s terms and summary before use.
- OCBC Frank Card
- Citi SMRT Card
- DCS Cashback
- Maybank Platinum Visa
- UOB One
Note: The 2 Max Miles promo has no individual cap, but a global cap of 500,000 Max Miles applies. Based on past promos, this can be exhausted early — so best not to wait.
Here’s how to do it:
- On the HeyMax App, click “Join Campaign”

2. Link your Visa Card to HeyMax

3. Add your card, then follow the steps to verify your card
4. You can now start earning 2 Max Miles on selected yuu merchants!
2. Max Miles Now Transferable to yuu Rewards Club
HeyMax now supports point transfers to yuu Rewards Club at a 1 Max Mile : 3 yuu Points ratio. Transfers must be done in blocks of 1,000 Max Miles (3,000 yuu Points).
Some important fine print:
- Transfers are one-way only, i.e. no reversing or converting yuu Points back into Max Miles
- Each HeyMax account can be linked to only one yuu account (permanently)
- Transfers take 3–14 working days to process
Hack: Indirect conversion from Heymax’s Max Miles to KrisFlyer Miles
This update also opens up an indirect route to convert Max Miles to KrisFlyer miles via yuu Points. After converting Max Miles to yuu Points, you can convert yuu Points to KrisFlyer miles at:
- 3.6 yuu Points = 1 KrisFlyer mile
- Minimum: 200 yuu Points
- Transfer is instant and free
This yields an effective conversion ratio for Max Miles to KrisFlyer miles at 6:5.
For every 6 Max Miles, you get 5 Krisflyer Miles, which is not the best rate on the market but could be useful in some scenarios.
3. [25 May only] 20% Milesback on redemptions
HeyMax is piloting a Milesback feature with a one-day-only event on 25 May 2025.
Users who redeem Max Miles for:
- yuu Points, or
- merchant vouchers
will receive 20% of their redeemed Miles credited back.
Example:
- Redeem 1,000 Max Miles → Get 200 back after 7 days
- Net cost = 800 Max Miles
The Milesback is:
- Tracked instantly
- Redeemable after 7 days
- Capped only by your redemption size
Is this a good deal?
Let’s take the yuu Points redemption case:
- 1,000 Max Miles → 3,000 yuu Points
- 20% Milesback → Net cost = 800 Max Miles
- 3,000 yuu Points = ~$15 in value
- Effective value per Max Mile = 1.88 cents
Compare this to HeyMax’s FlyAnywhere feature, which gives a flat 2 cents per Max Mile (until 7 July 2025). Unless you specifically need yuu Points or vouchers, FlyAnywhere offers better value and more flexibility — flights can be booked with any airline or online travel agencies, and reimbursements are processed after receipt upload.
Verdict:
HeyMax’s latest updates offer solid short-term value, particularly for those shopping at yuu merchants.
Feature | Highlights | Verdict |
2 mpd at yuu merchants | Stackable with card rewards (e.g. 12 mpd with DBS yuu) | ✅ Strong value |
Max Miles to yuu Points | Enables indirect transfer to KrisFlyer | ⚠️ Niche use case |
20% Milesback (25 May) | Lowers cost per mile redemption | ✅ Good, but FlyAnywhere still better (during promo period) |
As always, don’t forget to register before spending, and plan your redemptions around the best use cases for Max Miles.
Conclusion:
HeyMax’s latest updates offer a mix of short-term earning potential and new redemption flexibility.
- From 20 May 2025, users can transfer Max Miles to yuu Points at a 1:3 ratio, with a minimum transfer of 1,000 Max Miles.
- For one week only (20–26 May), users can earn an additional 2 Max Miles per S$1 at selected yuu merchants when paying with a HeyMax-linked Visa card — stackable with existing card rewards.
- On 25 May, a 20% Milesback promo will apply to all redemptions for yuu Points or vouchers, effectively lowering the cost of redemption.
All three promotions are time-limited, with the 2 mpd campaign subject to an overall cap of 500,000 Max Miles awarded. Those looking to maximise value should act early.
