Overview:
Dining out is a win-win. Skip the cooking and cleaning, save time, and enjoy great food. Restaurants are also perfect for socializing and trying new cuisines. Let’s explore how to make the most of eating out without breaking the bank. Here’s the best cards for restaurants:

HSBC Live+ Card

Citi Cashback Card
Earn 8% cashback on petrol & ride-hailing services and 6% cashback on groceries & dining

Maybank Family & Friends Card
Earn 8% cashback for five of your chosen categories.

OCBC 365 Card
Earn 6% cashback on Petrol, 5% cashback on Dining, 3% cashback on Groceries, Land Transport, Streaming, Electric Vehicle Charging, Watsons, Utilities

DCS Ultimate Platinum Card
Earn 2% cashback on almost everything

Citi Rewards Card
Earn 4 miles per dollar on online spend and selected retail

UOB Lady's Card
Earn 4 miles per dollar on 1 or 2 chosen categories

UOB Krisflyer Card
Earn uncapped 3 miles per dollar on SIA group spend and 2.4 miles per dollar on dining, online shopping, transport & select travel with min. S$1,000 SIA spend/year.
You can also check out UOB Preferred Platinum Visa as an option which can earn you 4 miles per dollar with S$1,110 cap and no minimum spend.
Conclusion:
From now until 31st Dec 2024, I would choose HSBC Live+ for a sweet 8% cashback with a lower minimum spend required of S$600. You can spend up to S$3,125 in a quarter to earn a maximum cashback of S$250 on that one category alone. It does not place a cashback cap on the category. After 31st Dec 2024, my vote goes to Citi Cashback Card because of its 6% cashback rate and a non restrictive list of where you can dine! If you opt for a pretty straightforward credit card for dining, and wanted to earn miles, Citi Rewards + Amaze could be a great option as it offers a decent earn rate of 4 miles per dollar in all online spend. UOB Lady’s card may be a hit or miss if the restaurant’s MCC does not fall within their specific MCCs.
💳 Credit cards change their T&Cs every so often and it is difficult to stay updated. That’s why I created a Telegram Broadcast where you can receive timely bite-sized updates to get the most out of your spending.
